SEATTLE FILES MOTION TO VOID MISDEMEANOR MARIJUANA CONVICTIONS IN THE CITY

In light of the 2012 legalization of recreational marijuana, The City of Seattle has filed a motion to not only the dismissal of outstanding misdemeanor possession charges, but also to retroactively void ALL misdemeanor marijuana convictions.

The city is starting to acknowledge the harm that the War on Drugs has had on the black community, giving unfair sentences in comparison to whites. We will post more as the case continues.
